Trainings for the contemporary alchemist

-but our bodies aren't good nourishment for the earth because of the chemicals, medications, and toxins they contain. Sadly, it's better to cremate most of us rather than return our bodies directly to the earth when we die.

Shocked by this quote, we must ask ourselves: How can we, as human beings, become a nourishing ingredient for our shared ecosystem?
In “Trainings for the Contemporary Alchemist,” we explore together what a modern alchemist is and ask ourselves how we can become a healing and regenerative force on the planet we inhabit.
In an alchemical tradition where spirit and matter are equal components of every transformation, we embark on a imaginative journey of discovery through chemistry, science, spirit, superstition, and contemporary rituals, exploring how we can collectively restore a deeper connection between spirit and matter.
Each event manifests locally as a series of modern alchemist trainings. A collectively healing organism that activates and unites our spirit and earthly existence into acts of care and repair.
NOTE: The dissolution and transformation of the very essence of matter—our cells, inherited patterns, and political systems—may occur!
“Trainings for the Contemporary Alchemist" can be experienced at Østergade 5, 7500 Holstebro as part of the Holstebro City Festival 2025.
